The founders of the Kamen Popov Foundation and creators of Gallery 88 Kamen Popov – Yulita Popova and Jos Selis – came across Itzko Finzi’s book Five Plays Told by an Actor, illustrated by little Matilda, and extended an invitation to the family for an exhibition of the young artist.

Liza Boeva and Itzko Finzi have carefully preserved their daughter’s drawings – arranged by years in folders. They handed some of them over to Yulita and Jos for selection. The gallerists chose 32 works to be presented in the exhibition titled 4567. The name comes from the period when Matilda (now 8 years old) created the drawings: at the ages of 4–5–6–7.

At the suggestion of artist Paro Feredzhanov, several drawings on a special base will be added to the exhibition, suspended from the gallery ceiling.

The works selected for the exhibition are made mostly with black fineliner. The images added at the suggestion of Paro Feredzhanov are in color, created with oil pastels.
